Our constraints led approach (CLA) means you’ll develop real skills through live problem-solving from day one – no drills for the sake of drills, no techniques that dissolve under pressure.

We divide grappling into three distinct phases and give each equal time each class.

Standing
Opening Game

Build confidence by Wrestling on the feet at the start of every single class.


To keep it safe for working adults, we avoid high-risk and high-impact maneuvers. Instead we focus on methodical grip-fighting to gain positional advantage.

Guard
Middle Game

Learn the nuances of framing, hooking, offbalancing and reversing.

As the Guard player, you'll use your legs to launch crafty counter-offense. As the Guard Passer, you'll maintain pressure and advance up the body into dominant positions.

Submission
End Game

Win sparring rounds by the most clean and satisfying method possible; a tap-out.

In the gym, we never try to hurt one another. We focus on sustaining joint or neck isolation, then gradually increasing pressure.

What type of classis this exactly?

This is an all-levels group class, practicing modern NoGi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. We have people from all backgrounds working together to improve. The environment is friendly and relaxed, but your full attention will be demanded to understand the objectives and rules of each game.

How do I know if thisclass is right for me?

Whether you’re a former Wrestler, MMA fan, Martial Arts geek, or just someone who wants to try something new — this class is the perfect starting point. You’ll be learning new skills in a supportive environment and making friends in a growing community.

What do I need tobring to this class?

Just a bottle of water and athletic clothing. We do not practice wearing Gi’s or other martial arts uniforms. We always practice bare-foot. Trim your fingernails and toenails and shower beforehand.
